    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at massagebookingoc@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We provide Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Massage, Prenatal,Medical directed massage, and cupping. Each session is customized  and tailored to target your specific pain points, muscle tension, or relaxation goals.

Our hourly session is 50 minute hands on massage, 90-minute session is 80 minute hands on massage and the two hour session is 110 minute hands on massage.

You may undress to your comfort level, but our therapists are trained to drape you with a sheet throughout the entire session. Only the specific area being worked on will be exposed.

You will fill out a brief health intake and consent form, followed by a consultation with your therapist to discuss your goals, focus areas, and any medical conditions Prior to the session.

Deep tissue work can create mild discomfort or "good pain" as tight muscles release. Communicate with your therapist immediately if the pressure feels too intense so they can adjust.

For stress relief and maintenance, once or twice a month works well. If you are recovering from an injury or managing chronic pain, weekly sessions may be recommended initially.

We require 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule without a fee. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a charge up to the full price of the treatment.

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to check in and fill out any necessary paperwork.

Your session will still end at the scheduled time so the next client is not delayed, but you will be charged the full rate of the booked treatment.

We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide an itemized receipt (superbill) upon request for you to submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.

Cupping uses gentle suction cups to pull skin and muscle tissue upward. While traditional massage applies downward pressure, cupping creates negative pressure to release rigid soft tissue, increase blood flow, and drain excess fluid.

Cupping can leave circular discoloration (bruise-like marks) ranging from light pink to dark purple. These marks are caused by stagnation and blood drawn to the surface; they are generally painless and fade within 3 to 10 days.

Yes, when performed by a certified therapist. We use specialized positioning (typically side-lying with supportive cushioning) to ensure complete comfort and safety for both mom and baby.

Medical massage focuses on resolving a specific diagnosed condition (such as sciatica, carpel tunnel, or chronic neck pain) using targeted, evidence-based techniques rather than general full-body relaxation.

Sports massage aids recovery, reduces muscle stiffness, and improves range of motion. For acute, fresh injuries (like a sudden tear or sprain), you should seek medical evaluation first before scheduling a session.

Drink plenty of water to help your body flush out metabolic waste. Rest, avoid strenuous workouts for 24 hours, and apply gentle heat if you experience minor soreness.

Mild soreness—similar to the feeling after an intense workout—is common for 24 to 48 hours after deep tissue, sports, or medical massage as tight muscle fibers realign.
